Greetings Cayuse Families,

My name is Cari Joubert.

I was born in Namibia, but moved to South Africa in 1989. After completing High School, I joined the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) where I was commissioned by the President of South Africa as an Officer. I completed my Military Service as a Captain. During my Military career I was a Logistics Officer, a Physical Training Instructor, an Administrative Assistant and Law Officer to the Commanding Officer of the South African Army Headquarters.

I met my husband in Cape Town and we immigrated to Hong Kong in 2004. I had the wonderful opportunity to teach Kindergarten to Native Chinese students as a Native English Teacher for 6 years. Both of our daughters were born in Hong Kong - now a Junior and 7th Grader. I stepped back into the classroom in 2020 as a Teacher Aide in 1st Grade at an International School. I also trained as an Emotional Learning Support Aide (ELSA).

After extensively traveling all of the lower 48, we fell in love with the Flathead Valley and immigrated to the United States of America in August 2023.
